Day 1: Auckland to Rotorua via Hamilton

- Departure from Auckland at 8:00 AM: Begin your journey with a comfortable coach ride from Auckland, heading towards Hamilton. Enjoy the lush landscapes of the North Island as you travel.
- Arrive at Hamilton Gardens: Spend the morning exploring the renowned Hamilton Gardens. Discover various themed gardens and enjoy the tranquility they offer. This is a great opportunity for guests to have lunch at their leisure within the garden’s beautiful settings.
Afternoon:
- Travel to Rotorua: After enjoying Hamilton, depart for Rotorua. The journey continues through the picturesque landscapes of the North Island, transitioning into the geothermal city of Rotorua.
- Visit Rotorua Lake and Government Gardens: Once in Rotorua, explore the serene Rotorua Lake and stroll through the historic Government Gardens, known for their well-preserved Edwardian architecture.
Evening:
- Dinner at Aorangi Peak Restaurant: Enjoy a sumptuous 2-course dinner at Aorangi Peak Restaurant, featuring a Gold medal steak served with the chef’s choice of salad, followed by cake or ice cream for dessert.
- Overnight Stay in Rotorua: Conclude the day with an overnight stay at a local hotel, allowing for rest and relaxation after a day full of exploration.
Day 2: Rotorua to Auckland via Hobbiton and Waitomo
Morning:
- Depart for Hobbiton: Travel from Rotorua to the magical Hobbiton Movie Set in the morning. Enjoy a guided tour of the iconic film set, visiting famous sites such as Bag End and the Green Dragon Inn.
- Additional Lunch Option: Guests also have the option to have lunch at the café at Hobbiton if preferred, offering another wonderful dining experience amidst the movie set (lunch cost not included).
Afternoon:
- Travel to Waitomo Glowworm Caves: After experiencing Hobbiton, continue to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Participate in a guided tour of the caves, including a boat ride beneath the stunning glowworm-lit grotto.
Evening:
- Return to Auckland: Journey back to Auckland, arriving in the evening. Reflect on the memorable sights and experiences of the past two days.
